Welcome to the web site of Charles Ivermee, radio amateur. Amateur Radio is a hobby enjoyed by millions all over the globe and beyond! (There is always at least one radio amateur on the International Space Station.) The purpose of amateur radio is to encourage experimentation in the field of radio communications, to provide emergency communications and to encourage co-operation and friendship around the world.

Radio amateurs have always been at the forefront of new communications research, especially in the areas of low signal and digital techniques. The hobby is a very broad church and whilst many participants like to experiment with such things as antennas others are happy to spend their time chatting to other amateurs around the world.
